WHO WE ARE
Redplug Blown Insulation Ltd was established in 2011 by Managing Director Michael Harley. Michael has over 
40 years’ construction experience, originating as a craftsman bricklayer with significant experience in masonry pathology, repair, and restoration.
With a passion for problem solving, Michael has spearheaded the development of the Red-Stopâ„¢ system to meet a growing need in the UK market for specialist blown remedial fire barrier solutions.
Since then, Redplug has grown year on year, building a reputation for quality, reliability, and technical expertise within an increasingly important area of the remediation sector.
Michael remains closely involved in the continual R&D of every new Red-Stopâ„¢ solution delivered by Redplug. That hands-on leadership has helped shape a business built on practical knowledge, continuous improvement, and a clear focus on doing things properly. We understand the pressures faced by developers, contractors, building owners, and investors, and we are committed to providing solutions that are both effective and responsible.

WHAT WE DO
Redplug is at the forefront of using stone wool to create mass-fill blown passive fire barriers designed to help mitigate the spread of fire within voids in building fabric.
We developed this specialist system in response to the challenges faced on many renovation and remediation projects, where traditional cavity barrier methods can be impractical due to cost, lead times, or the disruption caused by opening up and rebuilding structures.
Red-Stop™ has been developed as an effective blown alternative that can provide an equivalent or improved level of performance compared with other proprietary products. The system uses robust stone wool, a non-combustible material capable of resisting temperatures above 1,000°C, making it a key component in 
fire-resilient construction.
Redplug has invested heavily in developing specialist processes that allow our material to be blown in while maintaining strict quality standards. Backed by UK and European testing standards, Red-Stopâ„¢ gives design and fire professionals the confidence they need when specifying a system. Today, it is at the core of our business, supporting projects across the UK and helping clients work towards solutions such as LABC certification and EWS1 where other approaches may have fallen short.
WHY
