Redplug is the proud inventor of remedial passive blown fire barriers using stone mineral wool. This trademarked system is called Red-Stop™.
Redplug has a history of installing stone mineral wool as an engineered remedial fire barrier solution pre-Grenfell but since this tragedy we have embarked on a long journey to prove the long-term effectiveness and performance of our system.
Today, we have a well-respected remedial fire barrier solution in use by a range of developers and building owners to guarantee safe compartmentation of multi-occupancy buildings, with more being promoted through applications for remediation through the Building Safety Regulator.
Red-Stop™ is a mass fill system that mitigates both vertical and horizontal compartment line issues, with a volcanic diabase so it will last forever.
Where can the Red-Stop™
system be used?
- Internal and external load bearing walls
- Walls with cavities down to 25mm
- With cavities containing PIR/PUR, Phelonic, and EXP rigid insulation materials
- In cavities with no Cement Particulate Board
- In mass fill loadbearing and non-loadbearing partition walls
